Winstone wears 'reel dress' for film award
Jaime Winstone has worn a dress made out of film to support the 2010 Virgin Media Shorts Award.
The actress sported 12 metres of 1993's In Bed With Madonna at last night's ceremony, where Oscar Sharp was given the gong for his film Sign Language.
Made In Dagenham star Winstone said: "I feel really lucky to be wearing a dress designed especially for me by Aminaka Wilmont.
"It's amazing that they've managed to turn a film reel into such a beautiful creation and wearing it was the perfect way to support the new filmmaking talent being celebrated by Virgin Media Shorts."
Winner Sharp will receive £30,000 funding from Virgin Media and the UK Film Council for his next project, while his and the other 11 shortlisted films are currently being screened in cinemas, on Virgin Media TV, mobile phones and online.
Last year's prize was given to Luke Snellin for Mixtape. The films from that year's contest were presented by Noel Clark in a custom-made Virgin Media Shorts 'Flick-shaw'.
